Dr Sahruddin Jamal is on course to lose the Bukit Kepong seat which he has held since 2018.

PETALING JAYA: Former Johor menteri besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal is on course to lose the Bukit Kepong seat which he has held since 2018, according to unofficial results.
The Johor Bersatu and Perikatan Nasional chief was eyeing a third term as Bukit Kepong assemblyman.
He is being challenged by Barisan Nasional’s Ahmad Syar’e Yusof and Pakatan Harapan’s C Subramani.
Sahruddin, who served as menteri besar for under a year, won the seat with a 710-vote majority in the 2022 state polls.
PN had entered the Johor state election as a divided coalition following PAS’s decision to end its political cooperation with Bersatu early last month.
PAS, which is vying for 11 seats, decided not to campaign for Bersatu’s 16 candidates although the latter still helped the Islamic party on the ground. - FMT
