PETALING JAYA: Johor Barisan Nasional chief Onn Hafiz Ghazi is on course to win the race for the Machap seat, earning a second term as its assemblyman, according to unofficial results.
This would be the state Umno chief’s third stint in the state assembly, having previously represented Layang-Layang from 2018 to 2022.
Onn Hafiz is in a straight fight against Pakatan Harapan’s Hafiz Roslan in the race for the Machap seat. In the 2022 state polls, he won with a 6,543-vote majority in a four-cornered race.
