Aziman Hadi Nazri said he had stepped down as a Bersatu Armada National executive council member and MPT member.
In a statement posted on Facebook today, he expressed his appreciation to the party leadership, fellow members and supporters who had placed their trust in him and supported him throughout his time in the party.
"I, Aziman Hadi Nazri, hereby announce my resignation as a Bersatu Armada National executive council member and Supreme Leadership Council member, with immediate effect.
"I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to the party leadership, fellow comrades and all members who placed their trust in me and extended their support and cooperation throughout my service in the party," he said.
Aziman also thanked Armada leaders and members at all levels for their collective efforts in strengthening the party and championing the voices of young people.
He said he would always cherish the experiences, friendships and opportunities to serve that he had gained during his time in Bersatu.
"Thank you for all the support that has been given," he said.
His resignation follows a string of recent departures from the party's leadership in Perlis.
Earlier, Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah confirmed that he had resigned as an MPT member to focus on administering the state government.
Last week, Sena assemblyman and Perlis executive councillor Marzita Mansor also submitted her resignation from the party leadership.
On Thursday, Bersatu Perlis secretary Azahar Hassan announced that he had resigned from the party with immediate effect and relinquished all positions he held in Bersatu. - FMT
