Negeri Sembilan opposition leader and Gemas assemblyperson Ridzuan Ahmad has resigned from Bersatu, becoming the latest senior party leader to quit in another wave of defections.
“I believe this move is consistent with my principles and commitment to continue championing the interests of the people, especially Gemas voters, amid the state’s increasingly challenging political landscape,” he said.
Ridzuan said in a statement earlier today that the decision was made after careful consideration of the political situation in Negeri Sembilan and takes effect immediately.
A whirlwind was sighted in a paddy field along Jalan Tali Air 4, Sekinchan, this morning, but no damage has been reported.
Bernama quoted Selangor Tourism and Local Government exco chairperson Ng Suee Lim as saying that preliminary information indicated that the phenomenon lasted between three and four minutes and occurred at about 11.40am this morning.
