In a Facebook post after BN secured 48 of the 56 state seats contested, Akmal mocked the housing and local government minister by offering to help draft his resignation letter.
"I can even help write your resignation letter," he said.
Akmal was referring to Nga's statement during the campaign that he would resign from his party post if BN won more than 40 seats in the Johor polls.
BN not only crossed that threshold but exceeded it comfortably by capturing 48 seats, strengthening its grip on the state administration.
The coalition's commanding victory came at the expense of Pakatan Harapan, which was reduced to eight seats, while Perikatan Nasional failed to win a single seat.
Nga made the pledge while expressing confidence that BN would not secure such a dominant mandate.
Akmal's latest salvo adds to the post-election political exchanges as attention shifts to whether opposition leaders will honour campaign commitments made during the campaign.
BN's victory is widely seen as one of its strongest performances since the 2022 Johor state election, reinforcing its dominance in the southern state.
