Najib Abdul Razak’s Facebook page administrator mocked Pakatan Harapan over the ex-premier’s rumoured release date, purportedly premised upon BN's Johor win.
"Surely Harapan would not lie to the people of Johor. They said that if BN won big in Johor, Najib would be freed. So, is Najib being released today? At about what time?" a Facebook post reads.

DAP deputy chairperson Nga Kor Ming Though not naming anyone, the post appeared to target DAP deputy chairperson Nga Kor Ming.
In an interview with Oriental Daily last month, the housing and local government minister warned that a landslide Umno victory in Johor could lead to Najib’s early release.
If that were to happen, Nga said he would be the first to resign from the cabinet and warned that DAP might also quit the federal government.
Former Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi described PAS as a "loser", accusing it of decimating its own Perikatan Nasional component partner in the Johor state polls.
Taking to Facebook, Puad said that PAS practised a "peculiar form of politics" and is "willing to destroy its own component partner", stressing it must not be given any appointed state assemblyperson seats in the Johor state legislative assembly.

Puad Zarkashi "PAS has now fully established itself as a party that cannot be a partner. PAS is the loser. Therefore, it is not appropriate for PAS to be given appointed state assembly seats.
"PAS’ biggest victory was successfully bringing an end to Bersatu as a party altogether," the Johor state assembly speaker stated.
Johor PAS commissioner Mahfodz Mohamed congratulated BN on its landslide win in the state election, asserting that the aspiration of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to have a Malay-Muslim leadership is now realised.

Johor PAS commissioner Mahfodz Mohamed In a statement, Mahfodz said that Johor PAS also accepts its defeat with an open heart.
"The people and voters of Johor have made their choice and expressed their will democratically in determining the leadership of the Johor government.
"The election results also show that the majority of Johor voters have expressed their rejection of Harapan, particularly DAP," he added.
Muda president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz said the party would continue working hard to serve the people despite the outcome of the Johor state election.
She also said Muda entered the election aiming to amplify Johoreans' voices through politics focused on service and policies, including climate change, the people’s economy and reforms in the state legislative assembly.

Muda president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz Amira mentioned that a key lesson learned was that Muda had to face coalitions (BN and Harapan), which had the advantage of government resources and machinery.
She added that the results showed Johor voters were not loyal to any particular party, but instead supported parties that continued to serve their interests. - Mkini
