Police said the two men are believed to have accidentally shot the friend and hid his body in a panic.

Sipitang police chief Awang Anak Suanda said that the body was discovered in a forest near Kampung Takula several days after the shooting, which is believed to have occurred on July 3.
He said the victim’s relatives informed police four days later after the victim, in his 50s, failed to return home, although the two friends had returned on Sunday, according to Sinar Harian.
Awang Anak said the two men were detained two days ago and took police to the location where they had hidden the body, which was in the early stages of decomposition. “They had hidden the body in a panic,” he said.
The two men were remanded to aid investigations. Two homemade shotguns, known locally as bakakuk, were seized. - FMT
