The PAS deputy president says scare tactics have already cost DAP support in Johor and Sabah.

Tuan Ibrahim said PH was depicting the “green wave” as a threat to stability and harmony in an attempt to scare Chinese voters.
“But history has proven that the harder they try to scare Chinese voters, the more they are rejected by Chinese voters,” he said before unveiling Perikatan Nasional’s candidates for the Aug 1 polls in Negeri Sembilan.
Tuan Ibrahim claimed that such scare tactics had already cost DAP support in Johor and Sabah.
DAP was wiped out in Sabah after failing to win any of the eight seats it contested. At the Johor polls, the party won only six of the 17 seats it vied for and also lost two strongholds.
“This time, DAP will lose support in Negeri Sembilan.”
Tuan Ibrahim also said repeated attacks on PAS had only strengthened the party’s growing momentum across the country.
He said the so-called “wave” had spread beyond the party’s traditional strongholds.
Tuan Ibrahim said voters today were better informed and could judge political narratives for themselves.
“Stop trying to frighten people by portraying PAS in all kinds of ways.”
He also dismissed suggestions that the “green wave” was directed against any community.
“This wave is not against any race, religion or community. We love our people. We love our country. We must be clear about the direction we want to take the nation.”
He expressed confidence that the election would mark an important turning point for PN.
Earlier today, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang claimed PH, particularly DAP, had weaponised Islamophobia by harping on the “green wave” to instil fear among voters following the headway made by the Islamic party. - FMT
