DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke said Pakatan Harapan is ready for any political manoeuvres ahead of the Negeri Sembilan election, including a possible BN-Perikatan Nasional alliance.
He said that based on previous political developments, including during the Johor polls, Harapan would not be unsettled and would instead focus on strengthening its election machinery.
“We have already anticipated this (the BN-PN strategy), and it is clear. That is their choice. Harapan will focus on our own strengths to win contested seats,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
Loke (above) was responding to a question at an event in Negeri Sembilan on cooperation between BN and PAS over seat negotiations and allocations for the state election.

Former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng has published a letter to his successor, Chow Kon Yeow, objecting to revised water tariffs that took effect on July 1 after a one-year deferment.

Former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng In the letter, dated July 1 and released today, the DAP adviser warned that the 20 sen-per-cubic-metre increase would burden consumers and make the state government appear “uncaring and insensitive”.
Lim also disputed the claim that the hike was needed to cover higher operating costs at the Penang Water Supply Corporation, noting the projected RM20 million in additional revenue was far below the corporation’s RM49.6 million pre-tax profit for the first quarter of 2026.
He urged Chow to defer the increase for another year to demonstrate the state’s commitment to easing the cost of living. - Mkini
