The party says it will instead campaign for Perikatan Nasional candidates in the state election.

Pejuang president Mukhriz Mahathir said the unanimous decision not to field any candidate for the Aug 1 polls was made during its central executive council meeting.
“Pejuang remains committed to supporting all Perikatan Nasional candidates and assisting them on the campaign trail,” he said in a statement.
Pejuang was recently made a PN component.
The party came in third in a three-cornered fight for the Gambir seat in the Johor polls last Saturday after securing only 1,888 votes.
Earlier today, Muda announced that it would also skip the Negeri Sembilan election following its failure to win a seat in the Johor polls.
Muda, however, pledged to support Parti Sosialis Malaysia – its ally in the “progressive bloc” – in its sole candidate’s campaign in Rahang.
Parti Bersama Malaysia had also announced it would not contest the Negeri Sembilan election after all 15 of its candidates lost their deposits in Johor, choosing instead to shift its focus to the upcoming Melaka state election.
PN is expected to announce its candidates for the Negeri Sembilan election tonight. - FMT
