Police probe roadside brawl on road to Rawang toll plaza

 A video clip was posted on Instagram at about 6pm yesterday, which led the Gombak district police headquarters to lodge a report today for further action.

Police said the incident occurred at the Rawang-Batu Arang road heading towards the Rawang toll plaza.

Police have begun investigations into a brawl involving several people at the Rawang-Batu Arang road yesterday.

Gombak district police chief Noor Ariffin Nasir said a video clip was posted on Instagram at about 6pm yesterday, which led the Gombak district police headquarters to lodge a report today for further action.

“Preliminary investigations found that the incident occurred at Jalan Rawang-Batu Arang heading towards the Rawang toll plaza, before the entry of the slip road to the North-South Highway.

The case is being investigated as one of rioting in a public place, an offence which carries a penalty of jail for up to two years, a fine, or both.
