The two coalitions are contesting in the Negeri Sembilan polls under an electoral pact.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, and PN election director Sanusi Nor were among those present as they accompanied the BN-PN candidates for Serting, Palong, Jeram Padang and Bahau.
BN and PN supporters started gathering at 7am to march to the Jempol district administrative complex with the candidates.
Umno is vying for Palong and Jeram Padang while MCA is contesting in Bahau, and PAS in Serting.
Pakatan Harapan leaders were also present to accompany the coalition’s candidates, including its communications director Fahmi Fadzil and Johor DAP chief Teo Nie Ching.
The Aug 1 Negeri Sembilan polls will see PH going up against the BN-PN pact in all 36 seats.
BN intends to contest 25 seats while PN is fielding 11 candidates, with both coalitions avoiding any overlap.
PN component Bersatu has broken away from the coalition to contest under its own banner, fielding 24 candidates. - FMT
