The Parti Wawasan Negara secretary-general says it aims to be a government backed by both the majority and minority.

Saifuddin said the decision to ensure diversity in the party is closely linked to its efforts to achieve a “stable political configuration” – a government backed by both the majority and minority.
The former minister also said the Federal Constitution and the Rukun Negara serve as the party’s primary guide, with a framework based on moderation.
“We celebrate the diversity we have and living together harmoniously. Everyone has a part to play and will benefit equally,” he said in his latest column in Sinar Harian.
He said the “new national consensus” which Wawasan is championing is a comprehensive and forward looking concept.
“This consensus will be realised when we ‘agree to agree’ on fundamental and substantial matters and ‘agree to disagree’ on secondary matters,” he said.
The Indera Mahkota MP said the aim to build a better, more developed, prosperous, and happier Malaysia can be achieved with a shared goal and humane governance.
“It demands a reset of policies, systems and institutions,” he said.
Wawasan is led by former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin and was recently admitted into Perikatan Nasional. It was rebranded from Parti Cinta Malaysia. -FMT
