The Bangi MP says the Madani government has succeeded in implementing various reforms because DAP is the 'beating heart' of the administration.

Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan cited citizenship amendments for children born to Malaysian women with foreign spouses overseas, the decriminalisation of attempted suicide as well as the abolition of the mandatory death penalty as key reforms achieved.
He also pointed out that the government was working on imposing a 10-year cap on the prime minister’s post and separating the roles of the attorney-general and public prosecutor.
“The Madani government can do all these reforms because DAP is part of the administration. We are the beating heart of this government. We are the conscience of this government.
“We are the ones that ensure this government keeps to the straight and narrow,” he said at a DAP fundraising dinner here.
Syahredzan, a DAP vice-chairman, also described PH as Malaysia’s only truly multiracial coalition in a swipe at both Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional.
He said PH and DAP were both “genuinely” multiracial unlike their rivals and represented all Malaysians, regardless of ethnicity or religion.
PH comprises PKR, DAP and Amanah. Amanah is an Islamic party, while PKR and DAP are multiracial. - FMT
