Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim should consider ending the BN-Pakatan Harapan memorandum of understanding earlier, as trust no longer exists between the two sides, according to former Umno leader Puad Zarkashi.
Puad said this on Facebook after criticising PAS central committee member Annuar Musa for suggesting that Perikatan Nasional played a key role in allowing BN to form the Negeri Sembilan state government and secure a two-thirds majority in the state assembly.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy Ahmad Zahid Hamidi Accusing Annuar of arrogance, Puad argued that BN could have formed the government with Harapan instead, as their combined seats would also have been sufficient.
However, Puad said BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi chose to work with PN, adding that Zahid’s decision showed his trust in PN.
Johor DAP has thrown its support behind secretary-general Anthony Loke to continue leading the DAP following the party and Loke's defeat in the Negeri Sembilan polls.
State DAP chairperson Teo Nie Ching said the party respected the people's verdict and accepted the outcome with humility, responsibility and a determination to improve.

Johor DAP chairperson Teo Nie Ching Teo also revealed that she had offered to resign from her post on the night of July 11 following DAP's poor performance in the Johor election but Loke persuaded her to stay on.
She said Johor DAP would continue to stand firmly with Negeri Sembilan DAP and work closely with the party's central executive committee to strengthen the party, rebuild unity and regain public confidence ahead of the next general election. - Mkini
