All the winners of the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election

 BN secured 18 seats while election ally PN took seven, giving them a two-thirds majority in the state government.

PETALING JAYA:

The curtains have closed on the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, with the Barisan Nasional-Perikatan Nasional alliance ousting Pakatan Harapan from the state government by securing a two-thirds majority.

The election saw 103 candidates contesting 36 seats.

BN won 18 seats, while PN secured seven, giving the two coalitions a combined 25 seats and a two-thirds majority in the state assembly.

PH won the remaining 11 seats.

The result marks the first electoral victory for the BN-PN alliance, whose component parties agreed not to contest against one another.

BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the BN-PN partnership would continue into the next Melaka state election, while the appointment of the next menteri besar would be discussed with the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Bersatu, despite still being a PN component, contested on its own but failed to win any seats. Other candidates included those from Berjasa, Parti Sosialis Malaysia, Parti Orang Asli Malaysia, and independent candidates, but they were all wiped out.
