Loke and Aminuddin defeated in Negeri Sembilan
BN-PN secures two-thirds, no Indian in state govt, opposition without Malay
PinkJaguar7289: Perhaps the two captains, DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke and caretaker menteri besar Aminuddin Harun, were not punished only for what the public saw, but also for what local communities experienced quietly during their administration.
Governments advertise highways, investments and economic figures; voters remember stalled housing, neglected communities, closed-door decisions and leaders who appeared only when votes were needed.
Loke and Aminuddin may know whether deeper grievances existed because they sat inside the administration. The public does not need documents or a press conference to take revenge.
Sometimes thousands of private disappointments meet silently inside the ballot box.
The leaders call it an unexpected swing; the voters call it an account finally settled.
Fellow Malaysian: Loke asked his supporters not to be disappointed or dejected by his defeat as DAP has done their level best.
Loke this time around failed miserably to read the minds and hearts of the folk in Negeri Sembilan.
He was way too gungho about his chances of winning that he announced the Negeri Sembilan state election unilaterally right after Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi dissolved the Johor state assembly.
What he claimed he had done the past two weeks, fervently campaigning in Negeri Sembilan, we unfortunately do not know enough to vouch for him.
It's rumination time for Loke and his merry men. Losing Chennah was like a big gaping wound. We want to see what remedies he has at hand. There's no time left to waste either, Loke.
YellowMarlin8834: The fact that DAP won nine seats out of the 11 contested is not a failure.
Sadly, this Negeri Sembilan state election has clearly shown that the country is racially divided.
For the combo of BN-PAS, it will be a short-lived marriage. PAS is too famous for their in-and-out habits for the sake of Islam. As for BN, they always want to be in control. Let the fight begin.
We, as non-Malays, not the majority, will always have to work hard and pay taxes.
If the country is governed by a clean and efficient government/party, we will have to pay more taxes for development and repayment of debts incurred by previous corruption.
If a corrupt government is to govern the country, more bribes will have to be given out. Any difference for the non-Malays?
Determined Sarawakian: The flood of angry messages against DAP and Loke are ignorant. Let me be blunt: you minorities are the ones sabotaging yourselves.
Did you learn nothing from MCA’s playbook? They survived because they didn’t waste time tearing down their own leaders - they backed them on the ground.
DAP lost seats in Negeri Sembilan, yes, but the anger you’re spewing only proves the point: you weaken your own side while others consolidate power.
GreenFalcon2290: No surprise result here. It's merely a harbinger of what is to come - an early general election and the past returns as the future, and working doubly hard to make up for the lost years, when the honeypot wasn't in overflow constantly.
If a coalition with the current largest party will be required, then the theocratic state will come closer still in real terms.
The future looks pretty straightforward.

Even his lust for the premiership will go down in history as a failed mission, by the ease with which he got so easily played, as they took the reins from him as effortlessly as it is to pluck a flower.
GP2025: Loke lost by more than 500 votes and Aminuddin by over 1,600. Looks like DAP still has its support, with only a small percentage wanting to teach him a lesson.
But PKR's supporters are abandoning the party.
Anwar needs to face reality. He has lost support. He should call for a general election for the people to choose their own leaders.
PinkJaguar7289: Perikatan Nasional did not conquer Negeri Sembilan, but it used its 11 bullets carefully, and seven hit their targets. PAS won four seats while Parti Wawasan Negara won three. Gerakan and MIPP won nothing.
PAS supplied the votes, Wawasan Negara inherited Bersatu’s political house, while Gerakan and MIPP provided PN’s multiracial signboard without entering the assembly.
The biggest loser was not Pakatan Harapan but Bersatu. Its former allies took its candidates, voters and even its former seats.
Salvage Malaysia: Harapan should pat themselves on their backs for bringing BN back. Hope it was all worth it.
Now Harapan may face the consequences after the 16th general election for all the reforms they didn’t do, which may come to haunt them.
Politics is a dirty game. And don’t say we didn’t tell you so.
Fair Player: DAP and PKR continue to lose their seats, starting from Sabah to Johor and now Negeri Sembilan.
The next loss will be Malacca, which will not be surprising.
We, the voters, are teaching them a lesson for not reforming and taking us for a ride with their non-existent election manifestos! We have started to show them who is the boss! - Mkini
