A police report campaign against DAP veteran Tony Pua is being organised in response to the latter’s remarks against the monarchy - accusing him of being disrespectful, seditious, and provocative.
Pua yesterday asserted that Malaysian monarchs are bound by the constitutional system and can’t issue binding decrees to legislate all aspects of people’s lives.
“I am loyal to king and country, will abide by the rule of law based on our supreme constitution. Not decrees,” he said.
This was in response to Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah's urging DAP politicians to understand the Rukun Negara.
Amanah Youth exco Fadhli Umar Aminolhuda urged DAP to discipline Pua for his remarks.
“I am confident the remarks don’t reflect DAP’s official stance, especially under the leadership of (secretary-general) Anthony Loke and (deputy secretary-general) Steven Sim, what more since Pua is no longer a central leader,” he added.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh said a police report has been lodged over alleged slander against her.
This is after conservative media group TV Pertiwi published a video alleging that Yeoh had abused her power to convert the status of a Chinese neighbourhood in Taman Segar, Cheras, from leasehold to freehold.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh Malaysiakini’s checks found that the only announcement made by Yeoh regarding Taman Segar was the gazettement of a playground and community hall in the community as green spaces that can’t be developed.
Also gazetted were two open spaces in nearby Alam Damai. - Mkini
