The BN candidate for Pertang says he was handing out button badges featuring his caricature.

Jalaluddin, who is seeking a third term as Pertang assemblyman in the coming state election, said the items he handed out were button badges bearing his caricature as part of his campaign, Harian Metro reported.
“Irresponsible parties have circulated photos and videos claiming that I was giving money to voters.
“This is completely untrue and I consider it slander. If they want to use this as campaign material, they should stop,” he said after attending a programme at Kampung Kemin in Kuala Klawang, Negeri Sembilan.
The state Umno chief will take on Pakatan Harapan’s Umry Abdul Khois and Bersatu’s Faizal Fadli Idrus in Pertang in the Jelebu parliamentary constituency, which Jalaluddin has represented since 2018.
Jalaluddin first won Pertang in 2013 but did not defend the seat in the 2018 state election.
He returned to contest the seat and defeated Amirudin Hassan of Perikatan Nasional in a straight fight by a majority of 2,790 votes in 2023, when PH and Barisan Nasional contested as allies.
This time around, BN is cooperating with PN while PH is going solo in all 36 seats. - FMT
