The meeting took place amid ongoing discussions between PH and Barisan Nasional over seat allocations for the Melaka election.
Fahmi, who is also Communications Minister, said he was informed that the meeting took place yesterday, although he was not briefed on the matters discussed.
"I was informed that they had a meeting yesterday, but I was not informed about what was discussed.
"Indeed, there have been many meetings and discussions among the leadership over the past day or two.
"But whether that was one of the topics discussed, I was not informed," he said.
He said this when met by reporters at the handover ceremony for sponsorship contributions from strategic partners to Human Graphics participants in conjunction with the 2026 National Day celebration here today.
On Thursday, Anwar said the coalition's election committee would discuss potential cooperation with BN for the Melaka polls.
He had said that the committee was led by Amirudin and its secretary-general, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Saifuddin had previously not ruled out meeting Melaka BN chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh to discuss cooperation ahead of the state election.
Saifuddin said the meeting could take place after Ab Rauf returned from a working visit to New Zealand.
On PH's new strategy following the PKR's recent congress in Melaka, Fahmi said the party would seek to consolidate its existing strength while reaching out to former leaders and other influential figures.
He said PH chairman Anwar had stressed during the congress the need for the coalition to go beyond merely bringing back former leaders.
"From what the party president, who is also the PH chairman, said during the PKR Congress in Melaka last Sunday, we need to work not only to bring back the old guard, people such as Tian Chua, Dr Xavier and many others, but also to embrace the full strength (of the coalition).
"So, I see this as one of the strategies that will be utilised," he said. - NST
