Tambun MP Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah is ready to contest in the 14th general election if given the mandate by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
He said his experience as a former cabinet minister and head of Tambun Umno division for 23 years could be the platform for BN’s continued victory, especially in that constituency.
"I don’t have any problems. To me, the aim is victory. If the president decides that Husni, you have to contest, then I have to contest.
"If it is destined that I become a member of parliament again, it means that our efforts under the tagline MyBeautiful Tambun have been successful as seen by the extraordinary development of infrastructure compared to 30 years ago,” he said.
Husni was speaking to the press after attending the Chinese New Year celebrations organised by Tambun parliamentary office held at Dewan Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah in Ipoh today and attended by more than 2,000 people.
In GE13, Husni won the Tambun parliamentary seat after defeating PKR candidate with a majority vote of 9,325.
