Temporary airspace closures are scheduled from 11am to noon on Aug 26-28, and from 8.45am to 9.45am on Aug 29 and 31.

The national airline said the temporary closures are to facilitate rehearsals and the National Day Flypast 2026, Bernama reported.
This will result in scheduled aircraft take-offs and landings at KLIA being temporarily suspended during selected periods.
“Affected passengers will be notified via their registered contact details and are encouraged to check their latest flight status on the Malaysia Airlines website or mobile app before travelling to the airport.
“With the upcoming school holidays and peak travel period from Aug 26 to Sept 6, passengers departing from KLIA Terminal 1 are advised to arrive at least four hours before their scheduled departure time to allow sufficient time for airport procedures,” it said in a post on X.
The temporary airspace closures are scheduled from 11am to noon on Aug 26-28, and from 8.45am to 9.45am on Aug 29 and 31. These closures will coincide with rehearsals, the full rehearsal and National Day Flypast respectively.
Malaysia Airlines also reminded passengers that check-in counters close 60 minutes before scheduled departure for both domestic and international flights, while boarding gates close 30 minutes before departure.
It said passengers should also be prepared for extended waiting times at check-in counters, immigration and security clearance, which could exceed 45 minutes due to the anticipated high volume of travellers. - FMT
